10 Healthy Smoothies for Kids

What better way to add fruits and vegetables into your kid’s diet than with a refreshing smoothie! They are perfect for on-the-go snacks, breakfast or lunch, and you can change up the ingredients to appeal to the pickiest of eaters. 

I don’t know about your kids but mine love when I make them smoothies, and I have peace of mind knowing that I am giving them something they love while it being packed full of vitamins and nutrients their little bodies need to grow. 

With every smoothie the directions are the same, put everything into the blender and mix well! It’s as easy and delicious as that!


1. Mango Peach Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 1 cup diced peaches, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup chopped mango, fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice

2. Banana Mango Avocado Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 cup mango chunks, frozen
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 medium avocado
  • 1 cup almond milk or other non-dairy milk
  • Splash of vanilla extract
  • Few drops of stevia extract or other sweetener (optional)

3. Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana

Ingredients:
  • 2 large overripe bananas , peeled, sliced and frozen
  • 1 cup original almond milk (or more to thin as desired)
  • 3/4 cup ice
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

4. Pineapple Green Protein Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 2 handfuls fresh spinach
  • 1-2 scoops vanilla protein 

 

5. Berry Good Smoothie

Ingredients: 
  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons old fashioned oats
  • 1 tablespoon sweetener

6. Red Velvet Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup chopped raw red beets 
  • 4 medium strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup skim (or unsweetened almond) milk
  • 2 dried and pitted dates, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup

7. Watermelon Berry Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups cubed watermelon
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup ice

8. Mint Chocolate Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk full fat, canned
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt or plain greek yogurt
  • 2 bananas chopped and frozen
  • 4 cups spinach 
  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1 scoop of unflavored or vanilla whey protein
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract 
  • 2 tablespoons 85% dark chocolate chopped, or sub dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water optional, if needed

9. Chocolate Banana Nut Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • ⅓ cup sprouted almond butter
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • stevia to taste (optional*)

10. PB & J Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup mixed frozen berries
  • 1-2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats (Make them gluten free if need to)
  • 1 cup milk, any kind
