Working with a doctor virtually is very similar to visiting our office with a few obvious differences.
You will be working with a doctor via webcam/phone/email as well as using advanced functional medicine protocols, testing and lab work that will be mailed and completed in your home to find the root-cause of weight problems.
What To Expect
Here are the steps and what you can expect along your weight loss journey:
Complimentary 15-Minute Discovery Call
On this call we take some time to discuss your case and see if we are a good fit and if we can help you. If both you and the doctor feel comfortable, we would move to Step 2.
Weight Loss Blueprint Consult
You will schedule a 30 minute time to meet with the doctor online through a secure video conference. No sitting around a waiting room and then sitting in an exam room waiting on the doc; just schedule a time and meet.
Prior to your second consultation you will be asked to complete your initial intake and health assessment. You will also be asked to submit any pertinent medical records through our secure system so the doctor can review your full case history prior to your Weight Loss Blueprint call.
During your Weight Loss Blueprint call the doctor will provide you with their case analysis and give you clear next steps to begin your healing journey. These may include nutritional changes, supplement recommendations, lab testing, treatment protocols and/or other lifestyle modification.
The cost of this initial consult is $180.

Testing
In most cases, some form of lab testing will be needed in order to properly diagnose the root cause of weight problems.
The tests our doctors order are different from what you are familiar with in traditional medical practices.
There are two types of medical testing, we call them Red Light and Yellow Light testing. Traditional medical tests we call “Red Light” tests; they seek to diagnose and treat symptoms. Our type of tests are “Yellow Light” tests and are used to diagnose and treat the root cause of health problems, which is what we address.

Implementation
Based on your case and potential functional medicine testing, the doctor will outline specific guidelines for your natural treatment protocols.
During the implementation phase you will receive one-on-one guidance, coaching and education from Dr. Serrano and his team. You will have full access to his team at any point during your protocols.
Because each case and protocols have been individually crafted, the frequency of visits will vary on a case-by-case basis.
